Every piece of his furniture tells a story...

When clients commission a piece of handmade furniture, it is rarely because they simply need a table, chair, bookcase, etc.   There is often a more interesting reason for approaching me...

A client commissioned a table and hymn board for his mother's church, as a thank you for the support they gave her after his father's death.

Another client wanted a piece made from a much loved cherry tree that had blown down in a storm.

From the trunk of a small apple tree, brought into the workshop, a box was made as a surprise present for a parent from whose garden the tree was cut.

These can be long term projects.   Conditioning freshly cut timber takes time.   However the very personal dimension makes it worth the wait.
